Chapter 5: Light and Shadow is one of the chapters in Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise.

Kenshiro, Jagre, and Rihaku need to head back to Eden as soon as possible, but are immediately encountered by a group of bandits. Make quick work of these enemies and save the merchant that you met earlier. Jagre wants you to stop at the Old Baseball Field to alert members of the Watch. At the baseball field, a group of bandits approachs and it enables the substory: Batter Up!. The watchman says that no member of the Army of Ruin has made an appearance and this makes Jagre extremely cautious. The group must continue making their way back to Eden.

Back in Eden, Kenshiro needs to go and report back to Xsana. As they make their way through the city, they realize that it has been overtaken by constant attacks of bandits. Continue throughout the city, making your way to the Cathedral. At the Cathedral, Kenshiro inquires about Yuria, but Xsana tells Kenshiro that she can not give him information because he is currently under suspicion. Xsana tells Kenshiro that she was visited by Rei, who came in search of his kidnapped sister. The man who kidnapped his sister was a Hokuto Shinen fighter who had seven scars on his chest. Xsana lets Kenshiro know that a formal duel can settle the matter with Rei. She orders you to go to the local nightclub and sign up for the official duel by talking with Lyra.

At the night club, Kenshiro has a discussion with Lyra. She tells you that she will put her girls to work looking for information about Yuria and Airi. Kenshiro next needs to go to the Colosseum. At the Colosseum, it is revealed that Rihaku has organized this battle. Defeat Rei in the duel. After the duel seems to have ended, Rei vows that he will continue the fight until shows up to stop the fight. He announces that Airi is there and that Kenshiro wasn't the man who kidnapped her.

After the duel, Rihaku vows that this was a test in many ways of Kenshiro. He needed to see how strong Kenshiro has become. He then bids Xsana farewell.
